What is panthera blythae?

Panthera blythae, also known as the Blyth's Panthera or the Burmese Panther, is a subspecies of the leopard (Panthera pardus) native to Southeast Asia, specifically found in Myanmar (Burma). Its fur is usually brownish-yellow to golden-yellow and marked with distinctive circular or square-shaped black rosettes. Blyth's Panthera is smaller than other leopard subspecies, with males weighing between 30-50 kg and females weighing between 18-28 kg. Like other leopards, they are solitary hunters with a broad diet that includes small mammals, birds, reptiles, and sometimes larger prey like deer. Blyth's Panthera has been listed as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature due to habitat loss, poaching, and hunting.
